Our leadership team has been carefully chosen and assembled to manage CDS, leveraging business and clinical expertise with a deep understanding of what works and what doesn’t work inside a dental practice.
As Chief Financial Officer, Jeanne Ye oversees the company’s financial management, analysis, internal controls and provides leadership in acquisitions and transition processes.
Jeanne has over 18 years of finance and operational experience in various industries from technology, professional services, to the healthcare industry. Jeanne has held a series of senior leadership positions prior to joining Canadian Dental Services, most recently as the Chief Financial Officer of Horizon Occupational Health Solutions Inc., a national occupational health services company.
Jeanne has extensive experience in financial due diligence, post M&A business strategy implementation, business process reengineering and restructuring, and achieving operational synergies.
Jeanne is a Chartered Professional Accountant, a Certified General Accountant and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Laurentian University.
Dr. Dennis Fair, B.Sc., D.D.S.
As Chief Clinical Officer of CDS, Dr. Dennis Fair leads overall responsibility for clinical standards and care, and is instrumental in designing clinical process and standards.
Dr. Fair graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.Sc. and D.D.S. degree in 1982. After gaining some measure of experience in most aspects of general dentistry, he began a journey to focus his practice to more specialized areas of the profession. Since 1986, sedation dentistry has been a growing part of his practice, facilitating procedures involving more complex restorative and reconstructive therapies, including the area of implant dentistry. In 1988, Dr. Fair completed his first surgical and restorative course in implants with Core-Vent in Dallas, Texas. Since then, he has attended numerous dental courses and seminars focusing on many fields related to implant dentistry.
In 1995, he attended the Branemark Clinic in Gothenburg, Sweden, where he had the privilege to train under some of the original masters of the science and research that had emerged from Europe some years previous. Dr. Fair has completed all the course requirements and is a graduate of the Kois Center in Seattle, Washington; he is presently working on gaining Mentorship qualification there. Dr. Fair continues to develop his knowledge and skills through many hours of continuing education in dentistry, and has become a high-end provider of implant and more complex restorative dentistry.
Lyle Schumacher, B.Sc. Eng., MBA
Lyle Schumacher has over 20 years of experience in management and operational leadership of dental practices. Lyle has successfully built, grown and sold several dental clinics in the Alberta market. Lyle will play a key role in CDS’ business management strategy, patient experience process, and implementation strategy. A hands-on leader, Lyle has developed an incredible passion for the dental industry.
Lyle has been married to Dr. Tracey Ruddick for over 25 years.
Sean oversees the overall marketing strategy and execution for Canadian Dental Services. Having grown up as the son of a prominent endodontist, Sean has had first-hand exposure to the dental industry, its rewards, and its challenges. He applies his experiences to every aspect of his role.
Sean has nearly 20 years of solid B2B and B2C marketing experience in a variety of industries. He has a drive for delivering profitable solutions to enhance revenue, generating demand, maintaining customer loyalty, and building solid brands. He has always strived to be a leader in digital and social media marketing, as demonstrated by increased brand exposure through online advertising, digital properties and social media campaigns.
As Human Resources Manager & Business Partner, Dan oversees the company’s human resources function, with specific focuses in growth & organizational planning, people development and HR systems and processes.
Dan brings 20 years of diverse HR experience to CDS. He began his HR career with CIBC, where he held several roles, including Manager, Employee Relations, Senior Compensation Analyst, Senior HR Consultant, Project and Business Manager (HR), and Senior Consultant, Projects, Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures. He then joined Aviva Canada as an HR Business Partner & Change Consultant. Most recently, he was a Senior HRBP with Meridian Credit Union, supporting areas of the business including Commercial and Small Business Banking and Wealth Management. Dan has a Business Administration Diploma in HR Management (Honors) from Durham College and has completed Queens HR Program for Executive Development. He also has a Change Management Practitioner Certification and his LEAN Green Belt Certification.
As a Regional Operations Manager at CDS, Sonni is responsible for facilitating operational excellence for clinics across Ontario, while ensuring the delivery of quality patient care. With 14 years of experience in the dental industry, Sonni spent the initial part of her dental career as a Registered Dental Hygienist in a multidisciplinary practice, eventually branching out from a clinical setting into education, auditing, and then finally, operations. Although she still occasionally practices clinically, Sonni is passionate about being on the forefront of the changing landscape of dentistry.
A native Calgarian, Sonni now lives in Toronto with her husband and two children. Sonni values the importance of an active healthy lifestyle and the pursuit of exploring new places and cultures.
With over 20 years of dental industry experience in Canada and the U.S. Laura has developed a unique understanding of dental operational systems and how to achieve efficiency and highly functioning teams. Laura is an optimistic and energized motivator with a strong desire to maximize potential through implementing new business strategies, delivering creative solutions, directing rapid growth while embracing patient care and service.
Laura brings to CDS a passion for training and team development and a dental industry knowledge encompassing group, specialty and solo practice, operational systems development, implementation and management, dental consulting and lecturing as well as hands on experience both clinically and administratively.
